WASHINGTON. La red social Facebook incorporó este lunes a su creciente lista de millones de miembros el perfil de uno de los hombres más poderoso del mundo: el presidente Barack Obama.
“Hola Facebook, finalmente tengo mi propia página”, anunció el mandatario en el mensaje inicial de su perfil que fue colocado en la red poco después de las 13:00 horas de la tarde tiempo local.

El perfil será mantenido y alimentado por algunos de los integrantes del equipo de 20 personas encargadas de manejar las redes sociales de la Casa Blanca, y en apenas una horas había generado 233,417 “me gusta”.
Obama dijo que espera que su página se convierta en un lugar a través del cual pueda tener una interacción con más estadunidenses sobre algunos de los temas más importantes que enfrenta el país, “un lugar donde puedan escuchar de mi directamente”.
“Estoy inaugurando está página invitándolos a acompañarme en un paseo en mi patio, algo que trato de hacer al final de cada día, antes de cenar”, indicó el mandatario en su breve texto, el cual fue acompañado por un video donde se le ve caminando por el jardín sur de la Casa Blanca.
En el video, Obama habla de los progresos de su gobierno a favor para reducir la contaminación, así como de su próximo viaje a París, Francia, donde participará en la cumbre mundial sobre Cambio Climático.
